The presidential preference primary, general primary, and non-partisan general election are scheduled to take place in Georgia on May 19, 2020. Registered voters that would like an absentee ballot mailed to them may submit their applications now.
Georgia voters do not need an excuse to request an absentee ballot. To request an absentee ballot, voters should complete an absentee ballot application and return the absentee ballot application to their county registration office. Absentee ballot applications can be returned by mail, fax, email (as an attachment), or in-person to the local county elections office.

Elections staff would like to remind voters to select which party ballot they are requesting and be sure to sign your application.
Voters may select a Democratic, Non-Partisan, or Republican ticket. Voters who already participated in the presidential primary do not have to select the same ticket as before, but voters who have not yet voted this year can only choose one party for both elections. The presidential primary was delayed over concerns about the Coronavirus outbreak.
Voters who select either major party will also see the non-partisan general election on their ballot. In contrast, voters who select a non-partisan ticket will not see either party’s primary. Non-partisan offices include judges and school board.
Voter Registration deadline is April 20
