Early Voting Starts on Monday, April 29, for the May 21 Primary

Voters can participate in early voting for the May 21 primary starting on Monday, April 29. On the ballot are local primaries for Georgia General Assembly and county offices. There’s also a school board election for three of the county’s five districts.

Georgia offers three weeks of early voting during elections. Henry County has six locations available to cast your ballot. Residents may visit any early voting location within the county to vote. In contrast, they must visit their assigned polling place if they wait until Election Day.

Early Voting for May 21 Primary

Henry County will have four locations open for early voting beginning on Monday, April 29. There is one location within each city. They include the following:

  • Heritage Park, Parks & Recreation Office, McDonough
  • Merle Manders Conference Center, Stockbridge
  • Locust Grove Library
  • Fortson Library, Hampton

Early voting dates and times for the above locations are below. The schedule has two Saturdays and one Sunday option for voting.

  • April 29 – May 3, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, May 4, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Sunday, May 5, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • May 6 – May 10, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, May 11, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • May 13 – May 17, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm

In addition, Henry County adds two more locations for the second and third week of early voting. They are the JP Moseley Recreation Center in Stockbridge and Fairview Recreation Center. Early voting will be open at these two locations on the following:

  • May 6 – May 10, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, May 11, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • May 13 – May 17, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm

Who’s on the Ballot

Primaries for the US House of Representatives, Georgia General Assembly and county offices are on the ballot. The winner of each primary will advance to the November ballot. There are also various non-partisan offices, such as school board. For non-partisan positions, this is their main election. They do not carry forward to November.
