Henry County and the cities continue to gather public feedback about their land use plan updates. Hampton will have an open house on Monday, April 24. In addition, the county plan has its first online survey now available.

This year, Henry County and the cities are each developing separate plans. The land use plans provide a guide where new construction can occur, what type of construction and to what density.

Hampton Open House

The Hampton development plan has an upcoming open house on Monday, April 24. It will take place between 5:30–7:00 pm at the train depot. Those interested in attending can drop-in at anytime to provide their feedback.

Anyone in the Hampton area, regardless whether they live inside the city, should strive to attend. More info about the Hampton plan update is available here.

County Plan Survey

Henry County’s plan update held its first open house earlier this month. An online survey is now available.

Everyone is encouraged to fill out the survey. It asks respondents their take on new development and how they envision Henry County. This initial survey provides a high-level look at the county as a whole. Later events will look at specific areas.

A general overview and meeting dates for the county comp plan is on the county website.
