State House commends Henry County Chamber of Commerce

Earlier this week, the Georgia State House passed House Resolution 47 to commend the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. The organization received the Chamber of the Year award during 2022.

House Resolution 47

Members of the Henry County delegation, led by State Rep. El-Mahdi Holly, introduced house resolution 47. Cosponsors were Rep. Douglas, Mathiak, Daniel and Moore. The house adopted the resolution on Wednesday, January 25.

The resolution commends and recognizes the Henry County Chamber for receiving the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives’ 2022 Chamber of the Year award.

Part of the resolution reads the following:

WHEREAS, as a direct result of the chamber's efforts, numerous issues and developments have been handled with efficiency and efficacy, including the expansion of Piedmont Henry Hospital, the approval of numerous Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendums, and more; and

WHEREAS, this outstanding chamber has had a tremendous impact on its community through its spirit of service and desire to improve the quality of life in Henry County, sponsoring such programs as the Adopt-a-Road/Adopt-a-Highway program and the Leadership and Youth Leadership Henry programs; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary chamber be appropriately recognized.

The Henry County Chamber of Commerce promotes economic development through collaborative partnership. The Chamber brings together local elected officials and business leaders alike to promote the county. More information about the Chamber is available on their website.
