Henry County shoppers looking for healthy food options can rejoice. The county’s first Sprouts Farmers Market is now open off Jodeco Road in Stockbridge. The store held its grand opening on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Sprouts Farmers Market Stockbridge

The new Sprouts Farmers Market is located within the Bridges at Jodeco development. This is off I-75 exit 222. The store address is 1040 Chen Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253. Store hours are 7 am to 10 pm daily.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, the company focuses on healthy food options. They include produce, bulk foods, vitamins and wellness. The company founded in Arizona in 2002. Today, they operate more than 400 stores in 23 states. A location in their 24th state, Wyoming, opens later this month.

Construction began in February 2024 on the Stockbridge location. It measures about 23,000 square feet. There are now 17 locations in Georgia. Stockbridge is the second location in south metro Atlanta following Peachtree City. Other stores are in the north metro counties, such as Cobb and north Fulton.

Western Parallel Connector

Construction is now underway on the western parallel connector. It will be a new four-lane road between Hudson Bridge, Jodeco and Jonesboro Road. The roadway bisects the Bridges at Jodeco development. This project will provide local motorists an alternate route instead of I-75.

Georgia DOT issued the notice to proceed in August 2024. Construction work so far includes land clearing and grading. It has an estimated completion in late 2026.

The project’s construction cost is $44.7 million. Other costs, like design and right of way, were an additional $10 million.
