The Henry County Board of Commissioners and two county authorities will hold a joint meeting on October 24, 2024. Specifically, the meeting will be with the Henry County Water Authority and Henry County Development Authority.

The joint meeting will be on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 3 pm. It will be at the Henry County Administration Building on Henry Parkway in McDonough.

Joint Meeting October 2024

According to the Henry County website, the joint meeting’s purpose is the following:

“To discuss collaborative efforts and initiatives that can benefit the community, particularly in areas where responsibilities and interests intersect.”

At the time of publication, Sunday, October 20, a meeting agenda is not yet available on the county website.

The Henry County Development Authority (HCDA) and Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) were both created by the state. This means their responsibilities, powers and board structure come from the state assembly. The state established the HCDA in 2002 and HCWA in 1961, respectively. As of spring 2021, each authority’s board comprises one appointee by each Henry County commissioner.
