Voters can now view their sample ballots ahead of the upcoming November 2024 election. To view your sample ballot, be sure and visit the state’s My Voter Page. Voters can also access their My Voter Page to update their voter registration or double-check their voting precincts. The deadline to update your registration before the November election is Monday, October 7, 2024.
Here in Henry County, we have a few local contested elections on the ballot. They include sheriff, and county commissioner in districts 1 and 4. Next, there is a special election in Locust Grove for mayor & council. Lastly, all voters will consider the renewal of the SPLOST local sales tax.

Earlier this year, two candidates declared their intent to be a non-partisan candidate for Sheriff. Those individuals did not fulfill the signature requirements to appear on the ballot.

Georgia General Assembly
In addition to local offices, Henry County has representatives in the Georgia General Assembly. Following redistricting in December 2023, there are now parts of six state house districts and four state senate districts in the county.
Members of the Georgia General Assembly serve two-year terms. There are 56 state senators and 180 members of the state house.
State Senate
State senate districts 10 and 42 have a contested election. Incumbent senators Davenport and Williams have no opposition in districts 17 and 25, respectively.
