Henry County’s first Costco opened on November 16, 2023. Now, one year later, another highly-anticipated grocer, Sprouts Farmers Market in Stockbridge, is planning to open on November 15, 2024. The opening day was first reported by Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta.

Sprouts Farmers Market Stockbridge Opening Day

Sprouts Farmers Market plans to open in Stockbridge on Friday, November 15, 2024. The city will become the company’s 17th location in Georgia. The store is located off I-75 exit 222. It is part of the Bridges at Jodeco development.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, the company focuses on healthy food options. They include produce, bulk foods, vitamins and wellness. The company founded in Arizona in 2002. Today, they operate more than 400 stores in 23 states.

Construction began in February 2024 on the Stockbridge location. It measures about 23,000 square feet. This is consistent with other new Sprouts locations.

Right now, the company’s closest location is in Peachtree City. It opened in July 2016. The City Menus shared on August 20 that Sprouts is also planning a Newnan location. That spot expects to open in 2026.

What Else is Happening on Jodeco Road?

On Thursday, August 22, the new Chick-fil-A on Jodeco Road held its grand opening. They became the first-of-its-type Chick-fil-A in the country with four drive-thru lanes. Guests drive underneath the two-story building to receive their orders. There is no dine-in option available at the location.

Over the summer, Chipotle and Starbucks opened their new locations. Upcoming restaurants include First Watch, a breakfast & lunch restaurant, Hacienda Bar & Grill, Salad And Go, and Whataburger. In a change from previous reports, Bahama Breeze is no longer coming to Jodeco Road. That’s because of financial struggles by parent company Darden Restaurant according to Because We Care Henry County.

For residential living, construction is starting soon on a 212-unit apartment complex entitled ”The Levi.” Thompson Thrift, a national multi-family company, is the builder. In addition, the 140-unit Tessa Jodeco townhomes are coming soon.

Western Parallel Connector

Finally, Georgia DOT has approved construction for the western parallel connector. This will be a new four-lane road between Hudson Bridge, Jodeco and Jonesboro Road. The roadway bisects the Bridges at Jodeco development. When complete in late 2026, this project will provide local motorists an alternate route instead of I-75.

Georgia DOT issued the notice to proceed on August 12, 2024. This means road work can now begin.
