Commissioner Kevin Lewis to Host a Town Hall Meeting Monday

Henry County District 5 Commissioner Kevin Lewis has an upcoming town hall meeting on Monday, August 26, 2024. It starts at 6:30 pm at the county admin building in McDonough.

Discussion topics will be public safety and future development. Residents and community members are invited to attend.

District 5 Town Hall August 2024

Come out on Monday night for the latest updates in district 5. Henry County staff from public safety and planning & zoning will be on-hand to answer residents’ questions about what’s happening in the county.

The Henry County Admin Building is located at 140 Henry Parkway in McDonough.

Commissioner Kevin Lewis was first elected in 2022. His district represents portions of west and central Henry County. Parts of Hampton, Dutchtown, Luella and McDonough are in the district.

About the Henry County BOC

The Henry County Board of Commissioners is comprised of six members: an elected county chair and five district commissioners. Board members serve four-year terms. The board’s major responsibilities include the following:

  • adopting the annual county budget,
  • approving a property tax rate to pay for county services, and
  • considering land owners’ requests to rezone property.

The board is also the community’s representatives to advance local transportation, parks and public safety projects.
