Fire Rescue & Parks Community Festival is This Saturday

Henry County Fire Rescue & Henry County Parks and Recreation invite the community to a parade and festival happening this Saturday, May 4th. Both departments are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2024.

May 4th Community Festival

In addition to May 4 being a popular day among Star Wars fans — May the Fourth Be With You — it is also International Firefighters Day. The county fire rescue department & parks and recreation are hosting a community festival to celebrate.

Families and residents are invited to join the fun on Saturday, May 4, at Red Hawk Park in McDonough. The park is located at 143 Henry Parkway. The parade begins at 10 am. The festival will follow from 11 am to 2 pm.

Activities available will include themed characters, food trucks, craft vendors, inflatables, music and more. The event theme is Star Wars and firefighters.
