Sprouts Farmers Market is now under construction off Jodeco Road in Stockbridge. The store has an estimated completion date in fall 2024.

Sprouts Farmers Market at Jodeco Road

Sprouts Farmers Market entered the Atlanta market in 2014. Ten years later, they will make their introduction to Henry County. For those unfamiliar with the brand, the company focuses on healthy food options. They include produce, bulk foods, vitamins and wellness. The company founded in Arizona in 2002. Today, they operate more than 400 stores in 23 states.

The new Sprouts store is located at I-75 and Jodeco Road / exit 222 in Stockbridge. It is part of the Bridges at Jodeco development. First reported by Because We Care Henry County, the store expects to finish construction in October. When open, a new Sprouts location typically employs 80–100 individuals. As a company, their average wage for hourly employees was $19.68 per hour as of December 2023.

New Sprouts stores measure about 23,000 square feet. The company began experimenting with smaller store sizes beginning in 2020. They reduced their typical new store from 30,000 to 23,000 square feet. By comparison, a new Publix grocery store is typically 48,000 sq ft. Starting in 2023, all new locations are the smaller form-factor. This has allowed the company to maximize space while offering about the same number of items.

In 2023, the company closed locations in Duluth and Sandy Springs. Both were larger locations Sprouts closed while optimizing its footprint with the smaller stores. Now, Sprouts has sixteen locations in Georgia. They are concentrated in north metro Atlanta.
