Graduation Ceremonies 2023 Begin Next Week

Henry County Schools will host graduation ceremonies beginning next week for the Class of 2023. They will take place at Atlanta Motor Speedway like in years’ past.

The ceremonies will begin on Wednesday, May 17, and run through Friday, May 26. Each high school will have a nighttime ceremony starting at 7:30 pm.

Graduation Class of 2023

The following dates are for each high school’s graduation ceremony:

  • May 17 – McDonough High
  • May 18 – Ola High
  • May 19 – Eagles Landing High
  • May 20 – Luella High
  • May 21 – Stockbridge High
  • May 22 – Union Grove High
  • May 23 – Dutchtown High
  • May 24 – Hampton High
  • May 25 – Woodland High
  • May 26 – Locust Grove High

Each ceremony starts at 7:30 pm. In the event of inclement weather, the make-up ceremony will take place the following day beginning at 10 am. Gates will open for make-up ceremonies at 8:00 AM.

The district’s clear bag policy will be in effect for the ceremonies. This means guests can only bring in items within a clear bag. Backpacks or other similar bags are not permitted.

Parking for graduation attendees will be within the AMS main lots. It will be at gates 12 and 13. Additional parking info is on the district website.

In addition, the district will provide a live stream for all graduation ceremonies. Links for each event are available on the district site. A recording of each ceremony will also be available the following day.
