School Safety Measures

Since last summer, Henry County Police Department has provided school resource officers in Henry County Schools. The Sheriff’s Office previously fulfilled this role.

In addition to school resource officers, the district is in the finishing touches of installing a new security access control system at all schools. The system requires staff to have a badge access card to enter the building. Any visitors must be screened-in at the front entrance. The current education SPLOST program paid for the new security control system.
