Jackson Street Service Station Public Hearing on Monday Night

Developers wishing to build a new gas station at the corner of state route 42 and Jackson Street in Locust Grove must present their case on Monday night, March 20. In addition, anyone may speak for or against the proposed development during the public hearing.
The Locust Grove city council meets at the city public safety building next to city hall. Meetings begin at 6 pm.

4787 Highway 42, LLC of McDonough, GA is petitioning the city of Locust Grove to rezone property from RA (residential agricultural) to C-2 (general commercial). The 3.37-acre tract is located at the northeast corner of state route 42 and Jackson Street. The applicant is proposing a new service station off Jackson Street as well as associated retail space.
The city council will hold a public hearing about the request on Monday, March 20. They will consider voting whether to approve the rezoning at their subsequent meeting on Monday, April 3. All meetings are open to the public.
