County adds sixth site for Early Voting

The Henry County Board of Elections has added a sixth site as part of early voting for the upcoming presidential preference primary on Tuesday, March 24. Early voting will now be offered at JP Moseley Recreation Center in addition to the existing sites.

Primaries for president are the only position included on the presidential preference primary. The Georgia GOP announced in December that President Donald Trump will be the only candidate to appear on the Republican primary. The Georgia Democratic Party has not yet announced its slate of candidates.

All other positions will appear on the May 19 general primary. The non-partisan election for the board of education and judges will also appear on the May ballot.

The March primary will be Georgia’s first election conducted with the state’s new voting machines. Voters are encouraged to participate in the presidential primary so that they can familiarize themselves with the new machines ahead of the longer ballots voters will see in May and November.
