Henry County Commissioner Vivian Thomas invites residents to a community meeting this Wednesday, November 13, at 5:30 pm to discuss a proposed development located at 1496 Millers Mill Road. The meeting will occur at the Henry County Administration Building located on Henry Parkway in McDonough.

The rezoning request includes 87.01 +/- acres and proposes to build 144 lots. The zoning advisory board approved a conditional use permit for a conservation subdivision in July allowing minimum lot sizes of one quarter-acre (10,890 sq ft). In exchange, the applicant will preserve at least forty percent of the property as perpetual open space.

The rezoning request was presented to the board of commissioners in October. The item was tabled by the board and has been rescheduled for the meeting on Tuesday, November 19, at 6:30 pm.
